Overview
Every global function, object, capability, input type and limit, generated from the platform source.
The reference is generated from the Novon platform source on every documentation release, with a drift check that fails the build when the runtime and these pages disagree. Prose guides live under Smart apps and Integrations; this section is the contract.
Global functions
subscribe, runIn, sendPushNotification, httpRequest and the rest, grouped by task, with signatures, parameters and examples.
Objects
EntityWrapper, EntityChangeEvent, the definition and preferences shapes, location and settings.
Capabilities
One page per entity domain: states, services with typed parameters, device classes, feature bits and attributes.
Input types
Every preference input type, how it hydrates, and all definition fields.
Specs
- Subscription filter — the exact shape
subscribe()accepts. - Validation rules — what the platform rejects on registration.
- Limits and quotas — isolate, code size and integration limits.
- Sandbox globals — what JavaScript exists inside the isolate.
- Egress policy — where
httpRequestmay connect. - Integration SDK API — the
@novon/integration-sdktypes and constants. - Known discrepancies — where types, runtime and prose disagree today.
- Changelog — what changed, by platform snapshot.
How pages are documented
Each function follows the same skeleton so you can skim: a one-line summary, Signature, Parameters (name, type, required, default, description), Returns, Notes, Examples (lifted from the built-in apps where possible, with the source location) and See also. Callouts flag functions that exist at run time but are missing from the TypeScript types, and functions not available to AI-generated automations.
