Steps

Debug message

Write a line to the Messages window while debugging

Then step — What happens. Step type then-debug.

How it works

Writes a message to the debug messages panel, optionally with the current state of a device. Nothing else happens; use it to see what a run is doing.

Example

Device changes (Front door) → Debug message ("Door step reached", include Front door state)

The run shows up in the debug panel with the door’s state.
