Resetting a Novon smart device
Factory-reset a Novon switch, dimmer or plug, and what you lose.

A factory reset removes the device from whatever hub it was paired to and clears its settings (minimum level, LED behaviour, scenes). Try Exclude device from the app first; it is gentler and usually enough.
When to reset
- The device belonged to another hub that is no longer available.
- Pairing keeps failing after exclusion.
- Support asked you to.
How
- Make sure the device has power.
- Press and hold the paddle or button for the reset duration shown on the device's quick-start card (typically ten seconds or more) until the LED confirms.
- Release. The device is now unpaired and in a clean state.
- In the app, remove the old entry if one remains (Devices → the device → Remove), then pair it again.
Automations that referenced the old entry show it as a missing device; open them and pick the re-paired device.
