Hub
Restart and factory reset
When a restart helps, how to do it safely, and what a factory reset removes.
Draft for review by Novon support: confirm the physical reset procedure for the current hub model.
Restart
A restart fixes most "hub is slow / a device stopped responding" situations and loses nothing: devices, automations and history are kept, and automations resume where they were.
- From the app: Settings → Hub → Restart.
- Without the app: unplug power, wait ten seconds, plug back in. Allow a couple of minutes for the hub to come back online.
Factory reset
A factory reset removes the hub from your account and erases its local data. Paired Z-Wave and Zigbee devices will need to be excluded and paired again. Do this only when support asks you to or when you are handing the hub to someone else.
Before resetting, export your Flows (Flows list → Export all) so you can import them again.
